Introduction Real
Div Ltd [RDL] is the fountain. It sets up many projects to reduce CO2 emissions
in
the
World, starting in 2008. This report is primarily about new
cities in the United Kingdom [UK]. However,
RDL will also launch many similar projects to operate in other countries. RDL
has set
up the first project: a) beginning in 2008, b) to last for six years in the
United Kingdom, c) building 64 Zero-CO2 cities, d) each one for 50k people, That
is where they can live, work, study and enjoy, using energy and methods provided
for travel, transportation and communication so they can eliminate 90 %
of the CO2 they would otherwise emit into the Earth’s atmosphere. Reduction of
CO2 emissions is based on: a) solar, wind and tidal generated electricity, at
first for construction, then for homes, businesses, and industrial plants, b)
using no cars in the city, c) no need for commuting, by car, to
work and study d) using land travel exclusively by Zero-CO2 trains, busses and
subways, and e) 90% of air travel by autogyro. Autogyros start with conventional
(fossil fuelled), two, four, and six-person designs, and then are converted a)
to use hydrogen for fuel and hydrogen fuel cells (to eliminate CO2 emissions)
and b) to be able to take off and land vertically (to avoid providing more
mini-airports with landing strips. RDL
is the first Organizing Joint Venture Partner [OJVP], and sets up other
companies to act as OJVPs in the rest of the UK and most countries of the European
Continent and the other five Continents across the World. These will launch 898
more similar projects with similar purposes. The 899 new cities will house 50k
residents each, totalling 44.94 million people, saving 404.55 tons of CO2
emissions per year. Over 22 years, the planned life of these projects, this will
be 4.0455 billion tons, or 809 gigapounds; ie 0.122% of the current total
burden of CO2 in the World’s atmosphere.
Then, reductions will stay in effect at 404 gigapounds/year. One
key strategy of OJVPs is to organize the use of land and fixed assets,
to make possible rewarding lifestyles for living, learning, working and enjoying
life and health, without damaging the environment. Obviously, effective and efficient travel, transport of
goods, and advanced communications for dissemination of information are
essential. RDL pioneers technology
to promote, accomplish and improve all these aspects. One
of the prime reasons for founding RDL was to find ways of providing the
energy necessary to support and improve life without degrading or destroying the
planet. Many suggestions have been suggested and sought.
RDL works to realize a direct approach with short-term (ie 5 to 20
years) success. That is, generating hydrogen fuels, to replace fossil fuels for
heat and power, with only water [H2O] as a by-product. Five to ten years is a
reasonable target for elimination of fossil fuel in new homes, businesses and
industrial plants, another five to ten years to wipe out the need for cars using
fossil fuel and five more years to clean up airplanes.
Along the way, certainly, the timid tactic of separating hydrogen from
natural gas or coal can be laid to rest. |
